Walking through the slums of Nairobi- visiting homes of children and families who are supported by Chosen Children of Promise… the poverty is overwhelming.

The homes are 8×8 rooms with dirt floors and no doors.

But there is an abundance of so much more – love, faith, joy.

We had a large group so not all of us could fit in a home. As some of us were waiting outside, we met a young girl.

Her name is Aggie.

Katie began asking her questions…Where does she live? Is she in school? Does she have siblings?

Her and her brother don’t attend school because they lost their father and their mother can’t afford to send them.

However, outside of her home written on a metal sheet in crayon is clearly written –

God will provide for me.

We got them connected with the team at CCP.

The next day Aggie and her brother are with Katie at CCP signed up for school.

God sees the one.

May we have eyes to see them too.
